The library's third building was at Miner and Graceland. It was built on the spot of the original library, using money from the Works Progress Administration. It shared the building with city hall and the fire department. It was dedicated June 29, 1937 and there was an open house on July 30.

It was never given a proper address. It was listed in phone books as either "Miner and Graceland" or "Jefferson and Miner". The telephone number was Des Plaines 446, later VAnderbilt 4-2758.

In 1951 a children’s room was opened in a basement room that had been a storage area.

It was also home to the office of the Girl Scouts.
